Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Gesture Synth is a free, browser-based instrument. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights.

Authoritative version

This page is a translation of our privacy policy provided for your convenience. The English version is the authoritative legal text. If any conflict or ambiguity arises between this translation and the English version, the English version prevails.

Camera and hand tracking

Gesture Synth uses MediaPipe Hand Landmarker — a Google open-source model running as WebAssembly inside your browser — to track hand gestures. Video frames are processed on your device and never uploaded to our servers or any third party.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate traffic. GA4 may set first-party cookies and collect anonymized usage data such as page views, country, and device category.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may set or read cookies, web beacons, and use your IP address to serve and measure ads. Manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

Children

Gesture Synth is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you have rights to access, delete, or restrict personal data we process. Google Analytics and AdSense are the only processors — contact them directly or email us.

Contact

For privacy questions or data requests, email us at the address listed on the Contact page. We aim to reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as we add features or change processors. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any change.
